Voting in the youth president election in Amuri school Nineth graders of Amuri voted in the national youth president election, like many other schools in Finland. In the first round Sauli Niinistö gathered 36,1% of the total votes and Timo Soini 20,2%, which meant that these two candidates went to the next round. In the second round Sauli Niinistö got 76,5% of the votes and was so elected as the Youth President of Finland. The election was part of the Social Studies learning. Aapeli Räsänen receives the Majava-ICT competition prize. Student of Amuri School, Aapeli Räsänen reached the shared third place in Majava- ICT competition and was awarded with a smart phone. Competition issues are related to the use of ICT, societal impacts of information technology, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. For more information about the competition: Majava-kilpailu
